Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is there such a thing as legitimate credit repair?

Yes. Congress created the Credit Repair Organization Act (CROA), which regulates how such companies must comply with the law. To determine whether a credit repair company is in compliance or not, visit www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/croa/croa.htm.

2. How do I know your service is working?

Investigation results will arrive in the mail at your home from each credit bureau. Therefore, when changes occur, you will see them in the "investigation results" section of your updated credit report as one of the following: deleted, updated, remains, new information below, or not found.

3. Can I have copies of the letters that you send to the credit bureaus?

No. We do not keep copies of your letters. We record the disputed items in your file and mail the original letters to each credit bureau. Our letters contain proprietary information.

4. Does paying off old debts restore my credit?

No. The credit reporting system doesn't work that way. When you settle an old debt, the negative credit listing doesn't disappear. It only shows as "paid." Paid Listings do not necessarily increase your FICO credit scores.

5. How can you do this legally?

Disputing negative listings on your credit reports is your right under section 611 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Credit restoration is as legal as pleading "not guilty" in a court of law. Anything inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable on your credit reports must be deleted.

6. Can I fix my own credit reports?

Yes. It is possible to restore your own credit reports. However, because our company has systemized the process through a trained staff of experienced case analysts, we are better, stronger, and faster than the average do it yourself consumer.

7. I would like to pay cash in advance. Will you accept this?

No, we cannot. In order to comply with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) we must only charge for services rendered. We cannot accept payment in advance.

8. If I am not satisfied, can I cancel?

Yes, with no penalty, you may discontinue service within 5 business days by submitting your cancellation to the office of GRD & Associates in writing or by telephone.

9. How long will it take?

Each case is unique. It would be improper for us to promise you a particular result within a specific time frame. We suggest utilizing our service for at least 12 months or until you are completely satisfied with your results.
